Position: Linux Kernel Engineer

Location: Hybrid Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Linux Kernel Engineer, you will be tasked with the design and specification of new features, along with coding, test automation, troubleshooting, performance evaluation, and resolution of client issues. Participation in Open Source community meetings is encouraged and supported, and opportunities for client-facing roles, such as providing presentations at industry conferences, may arise. You will engage closely with relevant Open Source communities to ensure the integration of your contributions and collaborate with our distribution partners.

Essential Technical and Professional Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Open Source development, particularly in Linux Kernel, KVM, QEMU, or virtio.

At least 2 years of experience in low-level or assembly programming on Arm architectures, ideally 64-bit.

Proficient understanding of operating system internals, including memory management, task scheduling, interrupts, and device drivers.

Advanced skills in version control systems, such as Git, along with scripting languages like Python and test automation tools like Jenkins.

Desirable Technical and Professional Qualifications

Proven contributions to Open Source projects or holding a maintainer status for several years.

Knowledge of current I/O technologies, including PCI, NVMe, and RDMA.

Experience with virtualization and emulation technologies, particularly QEMU TCG.

Familiarity with platform and I/O device management, including UEFI and ACPI.

You should be highly driven and possess strong communication skills.
