Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Malbon Golf SoHo location in NYC. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining high store standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience: Influence and inspire the team to create personalized customer experiences, exceeding customer expectations through effective wardrobing and exceptional customer service.
  • Performance Management: Execute action plans in partnership with the Area Manager to deliver sales goals, maintain client engagement, and drive business growth.
  • Team Development: Support the Area Manager with recruitment, onboarding, and training for all store positions, ensuring a high-performing team.
  • Store Operations: Ensure store standards are maintained, including cleanliness, visual merchandising, and operational tasks such as inventory management and receiving shipments.
  • Activations and Events: Support with activations and new store openings in the market as needed, driving sales and brand awareness.
  • Technical Expertise: Embrace learning and leveraging new technologies, systems, and apps, with experience in Shopify, Endear, Slack, and Google Office a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate ability to operate independently, work effectively under pressure, and support completion of store opening and closing procedures.
  • Availability: Maintain an agile work schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of direct and/or indirect management experience.
  • 3+ years of customer service and/or retail experience, with a background in a similar category preferred.
  • Technical golf knowledge and awareness of current trends and events required.
  • Must be at least 18+ years of age.
  • Maintain an active floor presence, including standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortability using a ladder and lifting a maximum of 50lbs.
