Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Parts and Service Representative to join our team at Everglades Equipment Group. As a key member of our Parts and Service department, you will be responsible for selling, receiving, and delivering parts, attachments, and accessories to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Look up and order parts for John Deere equipment using JDPOINT ordering system and PMPRO catalog system
  • Look up and order parts for other vendors using their website catalogs
  • Sell and order parts required to fill customer needs using PFW business system
  • Promote and sell products and/or services to meet customer needs
  • Supply Service Technicians with parts as required
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
  • Assist in keeping parts department clean and orderly
  • Follow up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
  • Field internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
  • Open work orders as directed by the Aftermarket Manager/Lead or Shop Foreman and maintain control until they are closed and invoiced
  • Maintain the service library with current information under the direct supervision of the Aftermarket Manager
  • Maintain Service Department and Parts Department filing and records
  • Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders
  • Assist in answering service phone calls
  • Maintain accessories and supplies and prepare replacement orders
  • May prepare Service Technician efficiency reports and other reports as needed
  • May process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-up
  • Assist in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order

Requirements:

  • Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
  • Basic machinery knowledge
  • General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of accounting services
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internal functions
  • Knowledge of office procedures
  • Parts Educate - Required to have 20 credits per year of John Deere training as well as training requested by their Parts Manager
  • Ability to use the JD Pathways/John Deere Parts Catalog computer application and Vendor Websites for parts look up and ordering
  • Ability to learn PFW business system for invoicing, receipting and ordering parts for customers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Fork lift license required
