Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Covenant Health. As a key member of our patient service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative coverage for patient service functions, including check-out operations, encounter form data collection, and balance processing.
  • Collect and total outstanding balances and payments for services rendered, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Balance work and computer records at the end of each day, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Answer multi-line phones and route calls accordingly, providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Receive and record changes in patient information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of insurance procedures and co-pay collection, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with patients, physicians, and other care team members to provide seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and attend meetings as required, contributing to the growth and development of our team.
Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in medical office administration, preferably with experience in ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Candidates with a strong customer service background and a willingness to learn and grow with our team will be highly considered.
