About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asphalt Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Rose Paving LLC. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our asphalt maintenance services, including seal coating, asphalt repairs, and crack sealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily activities with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Operate various types of maintenance equipment, including asphalt sealers and crack sealers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project managers to ensure satisfaction with services.
  • Ensure all work is completed to Rose Paving standards and specifications.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and pre-job checklists to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Enter data on job sheets for material, equipment, and labor costs.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust work schedules accordingly.
  • Implement traffic control measures at job sites, including signs, barricades, and caution tape.
  • Prevent overweight truck loading to avoid fines and penalties.
  • Ensure all materials are installed according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Complete work within budgetary constraints and company standards.
  • Evaluate situations and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Act as a problem solver to reduce work issues and assist workers in solving challenges.
  • Estimate crew hours required for project completion.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors to schedule fieldwork.
  • Build customer relationships by introducing yourself to clients upon arrival at job sites.
  • Operate within budgetary constraints and company policies.
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a service and maintenance program on all equipment.
  • Participate in company's employee evaluation program.
  • Follow company policies, including drug and substance abuse policy and sexual harassment policy.
  • Encourage and initiate cross-training when appropriate.
  • Investigate continuing education opportunities for personal and crew development.
  • Enforce personal and field safety protection while working.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Broad understanding of Rose Paving's business and proven abilities in the areas of preparation and installation of seal coating, and a thorough understanding of Rose Paving's other services in the areas of asphalt repairs, crack sealing, catch basin repair, and parking lot marking work.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic geometry.
