Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager-II to lead our downstream group within the Biological Drug Substance Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, operating, and monitoring downstream processes for development activities, scale-up, and GMP production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement downstream process development strategies for large molecules, recombinant proteins, and monoclonal antibodies.
  • Lead a team of scientists and associates in the design, planning, and operation of downstream processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of downstream processes with upstream and analytical activities.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in chromatographic systems, TFF systems, and filtration systems.
  • Interpret experimental results and provide technical guidance to junior scientists and associates.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, BMRs, and other technical documents.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in downstream process development, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of chromatographic systems, TFF systems, and filtration systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
