Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Graduate Admissions Specialist & Student Life Coordinator to provide administrative support for the Electrical Engineering Department's Student Services Office. This role will serve as the first point of contact for prospective applicants to the Electrical Engineering graduate programs and assist with the admissions process, including reviewing applications and coordinating the PhD rotation program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for the Student Services Office, including coordinating logistics for outreach activities, meetings, and events.
  • Assist with the admissions process, including reviewing applications and coordinating the PhD rotation program.
  • Coordinate the EE Student Orientation for incoming graduate students and EE Admit Weekend for prospective EE PhD students.
  • Manage the purchase card verifications and reimbursements for the student services team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and staff to provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Contribute to general office administration and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree and one year of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Basic office administration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous student services experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Peoplesoft and Oracle Business Intelligence reporting.
  • Superior customer service and troubleshooting skills.
Work Environment

This role is eligible to be hybrid upon completion of the in-person training period.
