Position Summary:

The primary objective of this role is to deliver behavior-analytic services in alignment with the BACB standards while overseeing the activities of RBTs and other personnel executing behavioral strategies.

All responsibilities are conducted under the supervision and mentorship of a BCBA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinic-based ABA services to clients as designated
  • Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
  • Oversee the execution of treatment to ensure adherence to established protocols
  • Maintain BCaBA certification through ongoing education in BACB-required areas
  • Secure and uphold state licensure
  • Fulfill requirements and training to supervise RBT-level staff and provide mentorship to those pursuing certifications as applicable
  • Conduct initial and follow-up assessments along with parent questionnaires
  • Develop and draft individualized behavior acquisition programs for clients
  • Perform descriptive and functional analyses as part of comprehensive assessments
  • Create behavior intervention plans targeting behavior reduction for clients
  • Formulate and draft initial treatment plans in accordance with best practices and insurance standards
  • Revise client treatment plans as mandated by insurance providers and clinical best practices
  • Implement and oversee data collection systems
  • Provide behavioral support for clients in a multidisciplinary treatment context
  • Graph and analyze behavioral data
  • Modify treatment protocols based on data analysis
  • Assess and report client progress towards treatment objectives
  • Monitor treatment fidelity
  • Develop and manage transition and discharge plans
  • Evaluate risk and crisis management strategies
  • Offer behavioral support during interdisciplinary therapy sessions, medical appointments, and other necessary situations
  • Conduct individual parent/caregiver training sessions monthly and group training as required
  • Facilitate community education training as opportunities arise
  • Provide school consultation and in-home support as necessary
  • Stay informed on current ABA literature and attend relevant conferences
  • Participate in ABA department meetings and interdisciplinary staff gatherings
  • Assess risk management and crisis intervention protocols

Education and Experience:

Educational Background:

  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or a related discipline
  • Board certification and good standing as a BCaBA
  • Must obtain and maintain current BCaBA licensure in Texas

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
