As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our patients.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of psychological therapeutic interventions, including group and individual formats, to individuals with mental health and medical disorders. You will also be required to consult with and serve as a resource for other professional personnel concerning the need for, evaluation of, and development of psychological services in our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychological therapeutic interventions, including group and individual formats, to individuals with mental health and medical disorders.
- Consult with and serve as a resource for other professional personnel concerning the need for, evaluation of, and development of psychological services in our organization.
- Assist in the selection, training, and supervision of staff at lower grade within assigned program area, Psychology Service, or VHA Central Office Behavioral Health and Clinical Informatics.
- Prepare and teach seminars/workshops for VHA trainees/staff on topics within interest/competency areas.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). You will also need to have successfully completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA at the time the program was completed.
