About the Role

You'll be an Enterprise Account Executive in one of the fastest-growing products in the DevSecOps market, working with top Application Security and Developer teams. You'll be an ambassador for your customers, growing Semgrep's business while learning how to scale a sales organization and take a developer-centric security product to market. As a member of our team, you'll be part of the decisions that drive an early-stage startup's success, and your work will have a direct impact on software security.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with large Enterprise customers across various industries, from banking to software development SaaS companies.
  2. Own customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and close.
  3. Onboard and grow customers with additional products or increased Semgrep usage.
  4. Manage inbound leads with timely follow-up and diligent opportunity qualification.
  5. Achieve and exceed quarterly goals through outbound phone calls, emails, product demos, and trials (Proof of Concepts).
  6. Maintain accurate pipeline management with expert-level forecasting and execute a territory plan.
  7. Collaborate with Customer Success and Product Management to ensure smooth launches and fuel future product growth.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and product demo skills.
  • Curious and probing, with a deep understanding of customer pain-points and issues related to code security.
  • Tenacious and results-driven, with a focus on building pipeline, advancing deals, and working the organization chart.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to work asynchronously and navigate complex customer relationships.
  • 5-10 years of sales experience in high-paced environments, with a proven track record of quota achievement and closing multiple 6 or 7-figure deals.
  • Relevant AppSec experience and/or early-stage startup experience a plus.
