KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts maintenance and repair activities for the stormwater drainage systems within public rights-of-way.
  • Ensures proper upkeep and marking of ditches and culverts.
  • Addresses inquiries, concerns, and complaints from the public with professionalism and respect.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Performs tasks of skilled, semi-skilled, or unskilled nature as required.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned.
  • This position offers a valuable entry-level opportunity with the City of Lebanon.
  • This is a seasonal role, not exceeding 6 months.
  • Seasonal employees may apply for regular, full-time positions within the City of Lebanon during their seasonal employment, provided they meet the qualifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A valid TN driver's license and a clean driving record are highly preferred.
  • Must possess at least an 8th Grade education.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands for various tasks, including handling, feeling, and reaching.

The employee must be able to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and utilize their senses. The role involves continuous walking, bending, squatting, and lifting heavy items. Employees should be physically capable of lifting and carrying containers and performing labor-intensive tasks for extended periods.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While executing the duties of this position, the employee regularly works outdoors and is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee will encounter various weather conditions, including wet and humid environments, dirt, dust, and other adverse conditions, as well as fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibrations.

The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
