Sales Assistant for Independent Bookstores

Scholastic is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Field Sales Assistant to support our field sales team in the independent bookstore channel and Books-A-Million. As a key member of our sales team, you will provide sales support, manage sales materials, and assist with sales calls and previews.
Responsibilities- Solicit field sales rep quantities for sales materials
- Upload invoices and coop claims for all field and special markets accounts and Books-A-Million
- Support the Books-A-Million Sales Manager with sales calls and previews
- Arrange the bi-weekly field team call and take notes
- Create various sales reports and sell sheets
- Work closely with field sales reps on all materials needed for Regional Shows
- Research potential new accounts and assist with processing new account paperwork
- Work closely with the Sales Director to create targeted account lists for monthly marketing mailings
- Assist with sales-related projects as needed
