Sales Assistant - Field Sales

Scholastic is seeking a highly skilled Sales Assistant to support our Field Sales team. As a Sales Assistant, you will provide sales support to our field sales team, including soliciting field sales rep quantities for sales materials, uploading invoices and coop claims for all field and special markets accounts and Books-A-Million, and supporting the Books-A-Million Sales Manager with sales calls and previews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Soliciting field sales rep quantities for sales materials
  • Uploading invoices and coop claims for all field and special markets accounts and Books-A-Million
  • Supporting the Books-A-Million Sales Manager with sales calls and previews
  • Arranging the bi-weekly field team call and taking notes
  • Creating various sales reports and sell sheets
  • Working closely with the field sales reps on all materials needed for Regional Shows
  • Researching potential new accounts and assisting with processing new account paperwork
  • Working closely with the Sales Director to create targeted account lists for monthly marketing mailings
  • Assisting with sales related projects as needed
