Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our surgical team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional outpatient care for patients undergoing general surgery procedures.

Position Details

The APP will be responsible for providing comprehensive post-operative care, managing surgical complications, and evaluating/treating skin infections. This position involves collaboration with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes in various medical settings, including telemedicine and urgent care.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current DEA license.
  • BLS and ACLS certification (preferred).

Certification Requirements

For Nurse Practitioners:

  • Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner by recognized bodies such as AACN, AANP, or ANCC.
  • Valid license from the state nursing board.

For Physician Assistants:

  • Completion of an accredited physician assistant program with a Master's Degree.
  • Certification from the NCCPA and a current state medical board license.
  • Certificate to prescribe from the state medical board.

Experience

Previous experience in general surgery is preferred, ensuring that the APP is well-equipped to handle the demands of this role.
