Position Overview

The Culinary Services Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the dietary team, including the dietary aides and utility personnel. This role involves assigning daily tasks, managing meal service delivery, and ensuring the timely replenishment of supplies within resident units. Additionally, the Team Leader will ensure accurate patient meal setups by reviewing dietary orders for compliance and correctness. The position typically requires working from 12 PM to 8:30 PM, five days a week, with scheduled weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and maintain serving areas, ensuring all necessary items such as dishes, utensils, and food items are readily available.
  • Assist in the prompt serving of meals to residents.
  • Ensure food is served in accordance with established portion control guidelines.
  • Prepare patient trays according to dietary standards and requirements.
  • Assemble patient trays with a focus on speed, accuracy, and presentation.
  • Supervise the dietary serving staff to ensure high standards of service.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols within dining areas, including accurate documentation of cleaning tasks and monitoring food handling practices to comply with local and state regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and online client management systems is preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred or a willingness to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within dining services is advantageous.
  • Understanding of various dietary needs is essential.

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $19.00 to $22.00.
