Job Description

**Job Summary:**

The Dining Services Supervisor is responsible for providing daily direction to the dietary aid and utility staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality culinary services to patients and residents. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and Maintains Serving Lines: Ensure that serving lines are stocked with dishes, silverware, hot and cold food items, and other essentials.
  • Assists in Serving Meals: Work collaboratively with the dietary team to serve meals in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Serves Food in Accordance with Established Portion Control Procedures: Ensure that food is served in accordance with established portion control procedures to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Assembles Patient Trays: Assemble patient trays in accordance with established standards, meeting dietary requirements and ensuring accuracy and appearance.
  • Supervises Dietary Servers: Provide guidance and support to dietary servers to ensure that they are meeting the needs of patients and residents.
  • Complies with Safety and Sanitation Practices: Ensure that all safety and sanitation practices are followed in the dining areas, including accurate documentation of cleaning assignments and monitoring of food handling practices.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products and online client management systems.
  • ServSafe Certification: Hold ServSafe certification or be willing to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Previous Dining Services Leadership Experience: Possess previous experience in dining services leadership, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Various Diets: Have knowledge of various diets and be able to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information:

  • Expected Work Hours: Work 40 hours per week, with rotating weekends.
  • Hourly Wage: $19.00-$22.00 per hour.
