Position Overview

The Culinary Services Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of dietary aides and utility staff. This includes assigning daily tasks, managing meal service delivery and collection, and ensuring the replenishment of supplies in resident units. Additionally, the role involves setting up patient meals, verifying the accuracy of dietary orders, and ensuring compliance with dietary guidelines. The position requires availability from 12 PM to 8:30 PM, five days a week, including rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and maintain serving areas, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and food items are ready for service.
  • Assist in the timely serving of meals to residents.
  • Ensure food is served according to established portion control standards.
  • Prepare patient trays in accordance with dietary requirements and established protocols.
  • Supervise dietary service staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations within dining areas, including accurate documentation of cleaning tasks and monitoring food handling practices to comply with state and local regulations as well as departmental policies.
Qualifications:
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and online client management systems is preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days.
  • Previous leadership experience in dining services is preferred.
  • Understanding of various dietary needs is essential.

Compensation:
The hourly wage ranges from $19 to $22.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
