As a Spacecraft Power Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in the development of power systems hardware for space missions. Your contributions will support groundbreaking projects aimed at expanding our understanding of the universe.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and test power electronics for space applications.
  • Define and develop ground support equipment to facilitate flight hardware verification.
  • Conduct technical trade studies to optimize design solutions.
  • Establish and verify hardware requirements to ensure mission success.
  • Create fabrication drawings and assist in production processes.
  • Characterize the performance of your hardware designs.
  • Document all hardware verification activities comprehensively.

Qualifications:

You will meet our minimum qualifications if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Possess over 6 years of experience in developing high-reliability power electronics hardware.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the design, production, and testing of power electronics.
  • Have experience with circuit simulation, worst-case analysis, and derating analysis.
  • Are skilled in developing and executing test procedures.
  • Can obtain a Secret level security clearance, with eligibility requirements including U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hold a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Have experience in developing electronics hardware for spacecraft.
  • Have led an electrical hardware development team.
  • Possess experience in motor control electronics and algorithms.
  • Are familiar with radiation-tolerant and space-qualified components.
  • Have designed power magnetics.
  • Have utilized Mentor Graphics Expedition in your projects.
