About the Opportunity

The Asian Art Museum is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our Development team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that values creativity, teamwork, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage the museum's fundraising efforts and relationships with corporate philanthropic sources.
  • Work across the Development department and the museum to secure and activate sponsorships for exhibitions and museum initiatives.
  • Oversee and build the corporate membership program.
  • Build and implement the corporate sponsorships pipeline.
Essential Functions
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate supporters and serve as the primary contact and relationship manager.
  • Research and cultivate new prospects, create plans for corporate support, and oversee fulfillment and partnership enhancement activities across the museum.
  • Assist with strategy on larger sponsorship opportunities.
  • Work with others to identify programs and initiatives for which effective corporate fundraising packages and materials can be created.
  • Develop compelling, strategic, and customized proposals, sponsorship packages, and related financial materials.
  • Lead corporate sponsorship activation and benefit fulfillment, including coordinating and managing events, sponsor employee engagement opportunities, private tours, and ticketing.
  • Develop and apply stewardship practices to encourage continued support of the museum.
  • Work with marketing and communications to create and maximize promotional activities benefiting sponsors.
  • Act as an advocate for corporate sponsors in ensuring all appropriate recognition in advertising, posters, print and electronic media, publications, etc.
  • Provide support on other Development department projects and major events, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of increasing related experience.
  • Knowledge of marketing and promotional principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and ethics.
  • Knowledge and understanding of nonprofit environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully organize workload in a fast-paced environment; maintain several projects of equal priority simultaneously; sustain focus, productivity, and accuracy under pressure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to speak and write persuasively, clearly, and concisely, and to blend information from multiple sources into an effective fundraising document.
  • Ability to always display good judgment and exercise tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional flexibility with a strong customer-service focus.
  • Ability to interact effectively with board, volunteers, donors, and staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality within the museum setting and in regard to information obtained in respect to prospects and donors.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and members of the public.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and offsite as needed.
