About the Role

The Outreach Grant Manager will be responsible for managing programmatic information, data, communications, and processes between the State, City, and County government on behalf of one of our clients. This role requires outstanding listening skills, a genuine interest in fostering teamwork, and a willingness to provide honest feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain collaborative working relationships with grant awardees and program staff to identify areas of need and develop resolutions to maintain/improve funding and performance metrics.
  • Field questions and respond to information requests from internal customers and other state agencies.
  • Travel to cities and counties in Indiana may be required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Able to perform varied and difficult tasks, work in a collaborative team environment, and provide attention to details.
  • Approach challenges with a positive, consultative mindset and demonstrate self-starter qualities with a desire to achieve and work with integrity.

Eligibility Requirements

An employee of the Indiana Department of Veterans' Affairs must satisfy one of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Veteran
  • Spouse of a veteran
  • Surviving spouse of a veteran
  • Parent of a veteran or child of a veteran

The veteran must be an honorably discharged veteran with at least six months of active service in the armed forces of the United States and a resident of Indiana for at least two cumulative years preceding the applicant's appointment.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
