Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inventory checks and maintain accurate monthly food inventory records.
  • Possess a strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and optimal production practices.
  • Hold an A.O.S. degree in Culinary Science or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite and POS software.
  • Maintain detailed reports on inventory, personnel matters, schedules, and production notes.
  • Oversee all food preparation processes, ensuring attractive presentation and adherence to procedures.
  • Manage departmental expenses effectively, collaborating with suppliers to secure high-quality products at competitive prices.
  • Foster a collaborative kitchen environment by recruiting and training personnel aligned with our corporate values.
  • Innovatively incorporate diverse ingredients to create fresh menu items and specials.
  • Surpass guest expectations while driving sales and profitability, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics for team members, providing guidance to maintain an efficient kitchen.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an A.O.S. degree in Culinary Science or a relevant field is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and POS software applications.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant, hotel, or resort setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen tools, and best practices in food production.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both guests and team members.
  • Ability to meet all safety and sanitation standards related to kitchen equipment and food storage.
  • Experience in building, motivating, and leading a culinary team is essential.
  • A total of 7-8 years of culinary experience is required.
