The Culinary Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and aiding the preparation of various food items in accordance with established recipes for the Restaurant, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria, and Banquets. This position is dedicated to upholding the highest standards to create visually appealing and delicious dishes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare culinary items following specific recipes and quality benchmarks.
- Ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations consistently.
- Manage guest orders with a friendly, prompt, and efficient approach.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu and all food offerings.
- Stock and maintain assigned food station(s) effectively.
- Conduct visual inspections of all food items dispatched from the kitchen.
- Implement proper food handling and storage protocols in line with federal, state, local, and company guidelines.
- Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items as necessary.
- Report any work-related accidents or injuries immediately to management and follow the established procedures.
- Adhere to policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Utilize appropriate equipment, wear suitable personal protective clothing (PPE), and apply correct lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Follow specific procedures for managing emergency situations, including evacuations and medical emergencies.
- Complete necessary safety training and certifications to perform job tasks.
- Ensure compliance with uniform standards.
- Safeguard the privacy and security of guests and colleagues.
- Communicate with guests and coworkers using clear, professional language.
- Assist coworkers to ensure they understand their responsibilities.
- Collaborate with others to foster a team-oriented environment and achieve shared objectives.
- Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Perform additional reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel kitchen environment.
- At least 4 years of experience in a full-service kitchen.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
