POSITION OVERVIEW

The C++ Educator is responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction and training to participants within the Career Preparation Program. This role involves crafting personalized achievement plans and assessing progress to promote early retention and success among students.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION

This position entails overseeing, instructing, and training Job Corps students in designated classrooms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Adhere to all integrity protocols and procedures, ensuring the accuracy of student data.

2. Conduct engaging classroom instruction and assess student performance effectively.

3. Ensure the Center meets or surpasses performance benchmarks set by DOL/Company.

4. Provide remedial support and guidance to assist students in fulfilling CPP requirements.

5. Evaluate and determine students' readiness for transition to the Career Development Program (CDP).

6. Offer comprehensive and individualized case management to monitor student progress, retention, and completion of the Job Corps program. Establish supportive mentoring relationships with students throughout their enrollment, providing personal and career counseling.

7. Regularly assess and document student performance using the case management system.

8. Coordinate pre-arrival activities to facilitate a smooth transition to Center life, including pre-arrival communications, transportation arrangements, welcome celebrations, folder reviews, needs assessments, introductions to Center staff, and tours of the facility.

9. Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and conducive environment for student and staff success.

10. Produce high-quality work and assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.

11. Uphold personal attendance, accountability, and productivity standards.

12. Plan, prioritize, and organize tasks to meet established goals and deadlines.

13. Demonstrate job knowledge to effectively fulfill all required responsibilities, while proactively maintaining the necessary skills for the role.

14. Mentor, monitor, and exemplify the Career Success Standards as outlined by the PRH.

15. Provide exemplary supervision and management for the student population, taking prompt and appropriate action to positively influence student behavior. Show respect and courtesy to students while holding them accountable for their actions.

16. Deliver quality programs and services to students, ensuring that their needs are met and that continuous improvement is pursued.

17. Communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely, contributing meaningfully to group efforts by sharing relevant insights and knowledge. Provide timely information to DOL/Company as needed.

18. Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas, identifying problems, analyzing causes, and evaluating suitable solutions before taking or recommending actions. Follow up to ensure that appropriate actions are taken and that issues are resolved.

19. Collaborate with staff across all departments to ensure effective supervision and services for students.

20. Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director, Center Duty Officer, or Shift Manager, including temporary assignments to perform responsibilities in other departments.

21. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A Post-Secondary Degree is required. A valid in-state Driver's License is also necessary, along with meeting the Company's insurability criteria.
