Employee Benefits Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Benefits Specialist to join our team at Wayne-Sanderson Farms. This role will be responsible for managing employee leaves, benefits, and related administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Manage employee leaves, including FMLA, Disability, and personal leave, in accordance with company policies and federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Act as a point of contact for employees, corporate benefits, and plant leaders, responding to benefit questions and assisting with claim resolution.
- Update and resolve enrollment, marital status, and dependent verification discrepancies in Workday to ensure accurate eligibility and deduction information.
- Partner with Safety/EHS on Workers Compensation claims, ensuring data is entered correctly and necessary documentation is collected.
- Act as a liaison between carriers and employees to facilitate exchange of information and documentation.
- Participate in educating and notifying employees on benefit plans and enrollment opportunities.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum one year experience in a human resources generalist environment, with experience in leave administration and knowledge of FMLA and ADA legal requirements highly preferred.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to work with multiple Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work effectively with others, possessing tact and discretion, and demonstrating a high level of confidentiality.
This is an individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate strong initiative and a sense of urgency.
