Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily administration of leave of absence requests in collaboration with our third-party administrator (TPA).
  • Ensure that leave processes are handled with professionalism and empathy, adhering to all relevant policies.
  • Act as a primary contact for employees on leave, providing ongoing support, clarifying procedures, and ensuring compliance with documentation and return-to-work protocols.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, managers, and HR Business Partners to manage return-to-work arrangements and accommodate requests as needed.
  • Work with external vendors and internal/external legal advisors to ensure proper employee compensation and compliance.
  • Provide timely updates on leave statuses and payments before each bi-monthly payroll.
  • Manage benefits reinstatement upon employee return to work, in conjunction with payroll.
Benefits Administration:
  • Lead benefits orientation sessions for new hires and organize regular informational updates on benefits programs.
  • Offer comprehensive administrative support for benefits programs including health, dental, vision, spending accounts, short-term/long-term disability, and voluntary benefits such as critical illness, hospital indemnity, and accident insurance, in coordination with our benefits broker.
  • Deliver top-notch customer service by addressing benefits inquiries via phone and email.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks, including processing life events, reviewing and approving benefit changes in the HRIS system, and maintaining accurate documentation of procedures.
  • Create and distribute communications about new benefits plans and policies.
  • Manage the annual open enrollment process, including vendor coordination, HRIS configuration, and benefits guide development.
Wellness Initiatives:
  • Support and promote quarterly wellness programs and initiatives.
  • Organize and manage wellness challenges and events.
  • Handle the ordering and distribution of wellness awards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in benefits administration, particularly in health benefits, onboarding, and open enrollment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse internal and external clients.
  • Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail and the capability to multitask.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and vendor platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to work with various departments and external partners.
  • Ability to handle pressure and frequent interruptions with professionalism.
  • Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Experience with Workday HCM is a plus.
