The Principal Lounge Product Manager is a key role at Alaska Airlines, responsible for defining the long-term strategy for lounge product offerings and programs. This individual contributor will exercise considerable latitude and initiative to manage lounge revenue strategy, membership cultivation, capital projects, partnership development, and product experience.
This role requires a strong analytical background, with demonstratable modeling experience, and knowledge of membership-based organizations and airline partnerships. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of experience in consumer product marketing or product development with a focus on hospitality or related areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the 12+ month strategy for lounge product offerings and programs to meet strategic commercial objectives.
- Exercise considerable latitude and initiative to solve complex problems, including meeting guest experience targets, cost targets, revenue targets, and commercial objectives.
- Cultivate partnerships with F&B brands, other airlines, and lounges to develop a robust partner portfolio that differentiates Alaska's product offering from the competition.
- Network with peers within commercial, FP&A, and business partners to ensure products and programs are successful and in service of company objectives.
- Lead new lounge development, including business case and justification, ensuring new lounge design can accommodate future traffic, amenities, and product offerings align with brand objectives, guest needs, and budgets.
- Grows and engages membership base for lounge portfolio through regular communications, activations, and surveys, and develops innovative partnerships to drive non-member volume.
- Identify and establish long-term business requirements to ensure guest-facing lounge technology and revenue platforms support business needs and commercial objectives.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in consumer product marketing or product development with a focus on hospitality or related areas.
- Bachelor's degree with a focus in marketing, business administration, project management, or related field, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
- Exceptional analytical background with demonstratable modeling experience.
- Knowledge of membership-based organizations and airline partnerships.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely to senior leaders.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Sense of urgency to complete assignments quickly and thoroughly.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a product manager.
- 2 years of experience in Food and Beverage or other guest-facing hospitality sector.
- Professional services experience.
- Excel, Alteryx, Tableau experience.

$117,500 - $176,300 / year
