Position Summary:

The Culinary Operations Supervisor will provide operational leadership and oversight to a growing team of associates and supervisors. This role encompasses various aspects of the facility, focusing on optimizing and executing kitchen operations while managing the dishwashing and cleaning teams.

Success in this position involves becoming a supportive partner to our chef community, ensuring they have the necessary resources to implement an effective menu strategy and execution.

As the Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will collaborate with multiple departments to enhance the overall experience for our diners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and management of kitchen personnel, organizing their work schedules
  • Oversee daily and weekly workflow, ensuring team efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials, supplies, and ingredients, conducting weekly inventory assessments
  • Supervise the food preparation and cooking processes
  • Ensure all food products are stored in compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Enforce food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with state and local health regulations
  • Maintain a fully-stocked kitchen inventory, including managing vendor relationships and addressing shortages or returns promptly

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in food manufacturing or high-volume commercial kitchens
  • Comprehensive understanding of kitchen health and safety regulations
  • Servsafe certification or willingness to obtain upon hiring
  • Proficient in Google applications (Gmail, Drive, Spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Ability to lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity and change
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills; conversational Spanish is highly preferred
