Overview:

The primary role of the Culinary Operations Supervisor is to oversee and coordinate the activities of the Culinary department, ensuring exceptional standards of food quality, service, marketing, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, direct, and delegate responsibilities for all functions within the Culinary department to meet daily operational requirements.
  2. Enhance revenue through the development and execution of innovative promotional strategies and effective upselling techniques.
  3. Collaborate closely with the Culinary team to ensure the successful delivery of all food and beverage offerings and event menus.
  4. Work in partnership with Event Sales to guarantee excellent service to clients during events, including managing last-minute changes and setup arrangements.
  5. Lead, mentor, and develop team members across all areas of the Culinary department.
  6. Manage operations in a fiscally responsible manner while adhering to monthly forecasts.
  7. Consistently achieve guest service standards, seeking opportunities to enhance product quality and service, while driving volume and profitability.
  8. Ensure compliance with all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations related to the Culinary department.
  9. Oversee direct reports, ensuring they understand employment practices, performance management, and necessary disciplinary actions.
  10. Support other departments as required based on business needs.
  11. Adhere to all safety and security policies, including reporting incidents and unsafe conditions.
  12. Perform any additional tasks necessary to fulfill the primary purpose of the position.

Qualifications:

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related field with supervisory experience.

Preferred Experience: Background in hospitality.

Education:

Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field.

Certifications:

Required: ServSafe and TIPS Certification.

Technology Skills:

Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based applications.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and navigate work areas for extended periods.

Other Requirements:

Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
