Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough in-process inspections and evaluate data for both CMM and floor inspections according to established control plans that fulfill customer specifications.
  • Develop and maintain CMM programs that align with customer inspection requirements, including the management of Master Samples.
  • Assist in the formulation of documentation, inspection protocols, and capability studies for PPAP submissions.
  • Support the organization and management of APQP documents that validate part inspections, processes, and control measures, including work instructions and audit preparations.
  • Oversee and maintain the gage calibration system and records for MSA studies, including Gage R&R.
  • Analyze data trends to drive continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare documentation for product feasibility reviews as part of engineering support.
  • Utilize problem-solving methodologies for team-based root cause analysis to enhance process improvements and address customer feedback.
  • Participate in initiatives that promote ongoing enhancements in quality and manufacturing efficiency.
QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma
  • Training in CAD (such as Autocad (2D), Inventor (3D), or similar software)
  • Training in CAM (such as Surfcam or similar software)
Experience
  • Familiarity with CMM machinery (experience with Brown & Sharpe is advantageous).
  • Proficient in PC-DMIS 3.5 or newer programming software for CMM.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including understanding tolerances.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and the capability to accurately interpret dimensioned prints.
  • Experience in Tool & Die and stamping environments.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments and gage concepts utilized in stamping operations.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software.
  • Knowledge of additional software such as Powerway, Autocad, Inventor, and DataPage (for SPC collection and reporting).
