Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team at the Gift of Life Donor Program. As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality of our organ and tissue donation processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance Review: Perform quality assurance review of organ and tissue donor charts and potential donor assessment documents to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Record Maintenance: Assist in maintaining quality systems, including record review, non-conformances, document control, and auditing.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Positively interact with tissue processers, medical examiners, funeral homes, and primary care physicians to obtain and pertinent historical medical information to ensure the health and integrity of our gifts.
  • Release of Anatomical Gifts: Continuously support the release of anatomical gifts by exhausting possible resolutions to support a family's wishes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist in collaboration with all Gift of Life Donor Program staff in achieving and monitoring the Clinical Service Division's compliance with Gift of Life Donor Program clinical policies and procedures as they relate to documentation and donor record processes.
  • Data Management: Provide data required by regulatory and accreditation agencies and gather and process accurate donor information from laboratories, medical examiner/coroner, and other sources.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent of education and/or experience) and two years of quality assurance experience in a regulated environment, including working knowledge of medical record auditing, process and standards compliance review, or experience with audit methodologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in organ and/or tissue procurement/transplantation.
