Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Bainbridge Health Full time
Job Overview

Position: Quality Assurance Specialist

Company: Bainbridge Health

About Us: Bainbridge Health is dedicated to maximizing the potential of pharmacy data to improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of medication management. Our mission is to empower pharmacy and safety leaders to avert patient harm, minimize unnecessary waste, and enable clinicians to reclaim valuable time. As a spin-off from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, we collaborate with leading health systems, device manufacturers, and pharmaceutical companies nationwide. We are a rapidly growing, venture-backed organization eager to build a talented team and innovative technology to enhance healthcare delivery.

Role Summary: We are in search of a Quality Assurance Specialist to become a vital member of our Engineering Team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee product and data quality, compliance, metrics collection, incident management, customer support, and the ongoing monitoring of quality standards. Your contributions will be essential throughout the software development lifecycle and in managing customer data, acting as a champion for quality and compliance. Your performance will be evaluated based on our ability to meet service objectives, promptly address incidents and customer inquiries, and successfully pass third-party quality and compliance audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in regular Engineering team activities to plan, assess, implement, and maintain the Med OS Platform.
  • Contribute to the software development lifecycle by assisting in the design, planning, execution, delivery, and maintenance of the Med OS Platform and its supporting applications.
  • Develop and oversee testing protocols and metrics to evaluate the functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of products and data.
  • Identify, document, and coordinate the resolution of defects throughout the software development lifecycle and data management processes.
  • Propose, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective measures to ensure adherence to quality assurance standards.
  • Ensure user expectations are met during the testing phases.
  • Investigate customer feedback and product-related issues.
  • Create and update quality assurance policies and procedures regularly to maintain compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise on quality control and compliance outside the software development lifecycle when necessary, such as during product, vendor, and customer evaluations.

Candidate Profile: This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic start-up and enhance your quality assurance and compliance expertise.

  • You are passionate about quality control and compliance in healthcare data applications.
  • You view quality control and compliance as an ongoing, comprehensive process rather than a one-time task.
  • You value mentorship and knowledge sharing as the foundation of effective quality control and compliance.
  • You seek a career that contributes meaningful value to society.
  • You believe in the importance of teamwork and collaboration.
  • You can articulate complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • You are open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing and maintaining quality and compliance controls within frameworks such as SOC2, ISO27000, and FDA General Principles of Software Validation.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive approach, with strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • An independent mindset with the capability to identify necessary tools and resources for success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or healthcare technology sectors.
  • Prior experience with SOC2 and ISO27000 compliance.
  • Familiarity with Windows system administration, including Active Directory or related configurations.
  • Experience with MDM solutions such as JAMF or Mosyle.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary with stock options, allowing team members to share in our collective growth.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including top-tier medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their families.
  • Flexible vacation policy, offering 20 vacation days and 9 company holidays.
  • Year-round half-day Fridays to promote work-life balance.
  • Robust 401(K) plan with company matching up to 4%, featuring leading index funds and low expense ratios.
  • A flexible remote work environment, with access to co-working spaces.
