Role Overview:

The Fashion Consultant fosters a vibrant service and sales culture within the store, enhancing revenue by establishing genuine customer connections, delivering expert styling insights, and providing a personalized shopping experience through tailored product suggestions.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement

  • Upholds a service-oriented culture that exemplifies exceptional service, ensuring every customer feels welcomed, acknowledged, and valued.
  • Models relationship-building, styling, and networking with clients; educates the team and customers on the advantages of personal styling services.
  • Creates spontaneous and scheduled appointment opportunities to nurture customer relationships and achieve key performance indicators.
  • Promotes the use of technology, encouraging the team to engage in real-time transactions, upselling, and client outreach.

Collaboration and Mentorship

  • Fosters an inclusive atmosphere by amplifying diverse voices and actively seeking varied perspectives.
  • Identifies knowledge gaps in personal styling among team members and takes appropriate action; leads regional and brand styling training initiatives.
  • Utilizes brand resources to impart relevant styling and product knowledge to enhance team confidence in customer service.

Visual Merchandising and Business Strategy

  • Analyzes store performance to understand purchasing trends, influencing apparel styling and sales strategies.
  • Maximizes walk-in traffic and identifies business-enhancing opportunities through outreach and networking; collaborates with store leadership to drive additional sales.
  • Works alongside the visual team to support mannequin styling updates that highlight new arrivals and best-selling items.
  • Maintains accountability for personal styling hours, contributing to a customer-first philosophy and demonstrating flexibility in service coverage.

Communication and Relationship Building

  • Shares customer insights and shopping behaviors with leadership and styling teams through appropriate communication channels.
  • Builds productive relationships with leadership and sales teams, fostering a collaborative, customer-focused environment; maintains open lines of communication to address business needs promptly.
  • Enhances team morale through brand and store initiatives, including employee recognition and team-building activities.
  • Collaborates with store leadership to identify and curate events that resonate with local customer interests, driving brand engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about the Anthropologie brand.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in building customer relationships or clienteling.
  • Strong enthusiasm for apparel styling.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
