Job Title: Licensed Psychiatric Technician

Elwyn California is seeking a skilled Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team in a residential group home setting. As a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and skilled nursing needs.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Psychiatric Technician will perform general nursing procedures, behavior management, direct care, and training as dictated by the individuals' health and behavioral care needs. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing procedures, behavior management techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform nursing procedures as authorized within the scope of practice.
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and contribute to the development of the Individual Support Plan.
  • Function as lead staff on the shift and oversee DSPs and/or CNAs.
  • Provide active programming at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and schedules established by their supervisor.
  • Report any suspicion of or knowledge of suspected abuse in accordance with the law and program policies.
Requirements:
  • Possess and maintain a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the Human Services field.
  • High School diploma.
  • Valid California driver's license.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical and drug screen, including current TB.
  • Successful completion of DOJ and FBI background check.
  • Successful completion of all trainings as required by applicable regulations.
