Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team in a residential group home setting. As a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, you will work with our interdisciplinary team to provide direct care and training to individuals with developmental disabilities and skilled nursing needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general nursing procedures, behavior management, and direct care as dictated by the individuals' health and behavioral care needs.
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and contribute to the development of the Individual Support Plan.
  • May function as lead staff on the shift and oversee DSPs and/or CNAs.
  • Responsible for providing active programming at all times.
  • Responsible for adherence to standards, procedures, and schedules established by their supervisor.
Requirements
  • Possess and maintain a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Human Services field preferred.
  • High School diploma.
Working Environment

The Licensed Psychiatric Technician will work in a variety of environments and settings, including residential group homes. The ability to work weekend shifts and 24-7 hours of operation is required. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment is possible.
