About the Position

The Sales Associate assists in the daily operations of the Outdoor Research store and upholds the Outdoor Research brand identity and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Greet and thank customers in a helpful and non-intrusive manner throughout the purchasing process.
  • Open and close the store, ensuring a secure and organized environment.
  • Count down registers and print nightly reports to maintain accurate inventory and sales data.
  • Implement loss prevention measures to protect company assets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company standards.
  • Participate in weekly inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
Requirements
  • Active participation in outdoor activities, such as hiking, camping, or climbing, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of outdoor gear and equipment, with a focus on Outdoor Research products, is essential.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and point of sale systems are required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a similar setting is necessary.
  • Previous cash handling and transaction experience is required.
  • Meet or exceed schedule and attendance requirements.
