The Plymouth Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West, a full-service hotel with 243 rooms and nearly 40,000 square feet of meeting space, is on the lookout for enthusiastic, sharp, and creative individuals to fill the role of Night Operations Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

The Night Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a positive first impression for our guests. You will need to excel at multitasking. Responsibilities include greeting guests upon arrival, managing hotel check-ins and check-outs, addressing guest inquiries, handling busy phone lines, creating and updating reservations, and processing payments. You will also need to be well-versed in hotel amenities and local attractions, serving as the primary contact for guest inquiries while collaborating with other hotel departments to meet guest needs.

The role involves working the overnight shift at the welcome desk, performing closing day functions, and preparing the front office for the next day.

Essential Duties:
  • Efficiently and accurately complete the night audit.
  • Log all wake-up call requests with precision.
  • Answer calls in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Accurately record reservation information.
  • Understand and communicate hotel rates effectively.
  • Confirm guest reservations promptly.
  • Handle all guest accounting functions according to hotel standards.
  • Register guests accurately and establish proper credit.
  • Process check-outs while addressing guest feedback.
  • Accurately take and relay guest and office messages.
  • Document guest requests and issues, reporting maintenance needs.
  • Follow all emergency procedures as trained.
  • Post room charges to guest accounts accurately.
  • Process guest charge and credit card vouchers.
  • Prepare summaries of cash, check, and credit card activities.
  • Summarize operational results for management review.
  • Understand auditing principles and account balancing.
  • Proficiently operate computers and front office equipment.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and abilities and demonstrate the capability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience: Previous front desk and audit experience is preferred. Familiarity with OPERA is a plus.
  • General math skills are essential.
  • Ability to operate computers and office equipment is necessary.
  • Reliability, dependability, and honesty are crucial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with guests and colleagues.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while assisting guests.
  • Ability to alternate between sitting and standing as needed.
  • Ability to walk frequently while assisting guests.
  • Ability to bend and lift supplies, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
