Bilingual ICU Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Cardiac ICU team at UNM Hospitals. As a Bilingual RN, you will provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, and assume relief charge duties when designated.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe and effective direct care to patients, including neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
- Work within hospital and departmental policies, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
- Implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
- Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
- Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
- Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights, and document clinical findings.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families, adhering to hospital standards.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
- RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
This role involves working with hazardous materials, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
