Job Overview

The Construction Project Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the construction activities on-site, ensuring that all operations align with the project specifications and standards. This position is responsible for leading the field team and managing subcontractors effectively, with a focus on projects valued between $5M and $15M.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience in the construction industry.
  • OSHA 30 Certification is required.
  • Stormwater Management Certification relevant to the region.
  • USACE CQM Certification is necessary.
Key Responsibilities:Safety Management

The Construction Project Supervisor is the primary authority on safety at the job site, dedicated to fostering a culture of safety and ensuring all personnel return home safely each day.

  • Establishes a safety-first environment.
  • Implements and enforces safety protocols and plans.
  • Conducts regular safety inspections and mentoring sessions.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and documentation.
Quality Assurance

This role is responsible for ensuring that all construction work adheres to the latest drawings and specifications.

  • Maintains compliance with contract documents.
  • Oversees documentation of inspections and testing.
  • Facilitates weekly coordination meetings.
Regulatory Compliance

Leads the adherence to environmental management plans and other compliance requirements.

  • Implements established policies and procedures.
  • Supervises daily administrative tasks related to compliance.
Project Scheduling

The Construction Project Supervisor is tasked with driving the project schedule to maximize efficiency and productivity.

  • Develops and updates project schedules regularly.
  • Conducts weekly schedule review meetings.
Project Administration
  • Oversees documentation and communication on-site.
  • Ensures timely completion of daily reports.
Cost Management
  • Monitors project budgets and makes informed financial decisions.
  • Coordinates procurement of materials and manages costs effectively.
Field Operations

Provides leadership for all construction efforts, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and schedule.

  • Reads and interprets all construction documents.
  • Plans and executes work to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Contract Oversight
  • Ensures compliance with contract specifications and changes.
  • Evaluates the impact of changes on project timelines and costs.
Team Development
  • Encourages constructive relationships among team members and stakeholders.
  • Provides mentorship and career development support to field staff.
