Job Overview

Location: Kalispell, Montana

Role Summary: The Merchandiser is responsible for effectively showcasing beverage products on retail shelves, displays, and sales floors. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at optimizing product visibility and ensuring compliance with merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organize products based on established plans or innovative ideas that receive management approval.
  2. Install pricing and informational signage on displays, fixtures, and merchandise.
  3. Move inventory from storage areas to display locations to adhere to expiration dates and enhance product availability.
  4. Request inventory for designated accounts following company protocols to prevent stock shortages.
  5. Develop display concepts or adhere to guidelines provided by the Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager.
  6. Engage in daily communication with key retail personnel regarding service and product requirements.
  7. Construct or assemble display aids using company-supplied Point of Sale (POS) materials.
  8. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Supervisory Duties:

No supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent; one to three months of relevant experience or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Must meet the qualifications set by the company for drivers.

Communication Skills:

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing basic correspondence and effectively presenting information in small group settings.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic mathematical functions and interpret various data formats, including rates, ratios, and percentages.

Other Qualifications:

Some states may require employees to be at least 21 years old for roles involving the promotion, merchandising, and delivery of alcoholic beverages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form and to address problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

Competencies:

Attention to detail, customer service orientation, interpersonal skills, organizational awareness, planning and evaluation, self-management, and teamwork.

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for handling or feeling, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift/move objects weighing up to 100 pounds with the aid of a hand truck or other manual lifting devices. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
