POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Firearms Retail Specialist is tasked with delivering exceptional Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms, in addition to assisting with Floor and Counter Sales of various Hunting Equipment.

This role involves engaging in a range of sales and customer service activities, including warmly greeting and assisting all customers promptly, handling merchandise with care, and providing insightful information and guidance to shoppers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates a strong commitment to outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive and efficient shopping experience for every patron.

Delivers a memorable experience for each customer by assisting them in their purchasing decisions through:

1. Assessing and understanding customers' needs,
2. Making tailored product suggestions based on this assessment,
3. Promoting various programs, including CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
Ensures that all 4473 Forms are filled out completely and accurately.
Develops the ability to effectively demonstrate products to customers.
Organizes and maintains merchandise within the retail environment, particularly at the Gun Counter.
Restocks products on shelves as necessary, adhering to merchandising standards.
Stays informed and knowledgeable about products through ongoing training.
Maintains awareness of promotional sales; ensures pricing and signage are accurate.
Assists with seasonal merchandise arrangements.
Keeps the work area tidy, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Performs any additional duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 0-2 years in Retail
Must be at least 21 years of age

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proficient knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition
Understanding of ATF Federal and State Regulations
Experience in Customer Service and Sales related to Firearms and Ammunition

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Ability to merchandise and stock products effectively

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
N/A

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regularly stand and/or walk during shifts
Occasionally climb or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
Consistently communicate with others to exchange information
Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
Occasionally drive motor vehicles or heavy equipment
Light work that involves moving objects up to 20 pounds frequently, with occasional lifting of objects up to 100 pounds or more (using team lift as necessary)
Occasionally work in confined spaces
Occasionally work in noisy environments

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:
Completes tasks and responsibilities under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and creativity. Selects from limited options to resolve issues. Occasionally requires independent judgment to fulfill work assignments. Frequently makes recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
