About Belva:

We are looking for a proficient and seasoned Lead Frontend Engineer to become a part of our innovative team. As a pioneering A.I. telecommunications company, we seek an individual capable of spearheading the development of impactful web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of web applications across all major browsers utilizing React.
  • Play a crucial role in defining the technological direction and web application offerings of the organization.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure smooth integration and outstanding user experiences.
  • Mentor junior developers and potentially oversee project teams.
  • Drive innovation and excellence in web application development through your expertise.
  • Maintain code quality and write automated tests to guarantee the highest product standards.
  • Engage in Agile practices including daily standups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
  • Work with various teams to ensure that delivered code aligns with functional and technical specifications.
  • Create unit and integration tests to thoroughly validate and regress software.
  • Break down complex requirements into manageable coding tasks and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Citizen or Green Card Holder residing in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level web applications using React.
  • 5+ years of experience with web sockets in real-time communication applications.
  • Demonstrated success in launching and maintaining web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and related technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a knack for tackling complex challenges.
  • Prior experience in leadership or mentorship roles is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to embrace new ideas and a continuous desire for learning.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Experience with cloud-native, scalable, and highly available distributed systems.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
