In essence, we manage the UI infrastructure, allowing product teams at Snowflake to concentrate on crafting exceptional user experiences and deliver confidently.

Your Role

We are in search of a software engineer with a focus on Frontend Developer Efficiency. You will collaborate with our UI Platform team to define, lead, and implement initiatives that will enhance the speed, quality, and uniformity of our user experiences.

In this position, your focus will be on frontend developer efficiency, which includes:

  • Enhancing our frontend observability to provide developers with the insights necessary to improve the performance and stability of our applications.
  • Establishing our approach to testing, type safety, and our comprehensive strategy to elevate code and product quality.
  • Developing tools that empower our developers and product teams to prototype, build, modify, test, and debug product experiences more swiftly.
  • Acting as a technical resource and mentor for fellow frontend developers.
This role presents a significant opportunity to impact the productivity of our extensive Product Experiences Engineering organization and to assist in achieving our ambitious objectives for Snowflake.

Who You Are
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript / JavaScript.
  • Experienced in building with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Solid, Svelte) and build tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack / RSPack, Rollup).
  • Skilled in creating and maintaining tools that enable cross-team collaboration and success.
  • Experienced in understanding, troubleshooting, and resolving client-side performance challenges.
  • Possess strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills.
All Snowflake employees are expected to adhere to the company's confidentiality and security protocols for managing sensitive data. It is the responsibility of every employee to ensure customer information remains secure and confidential.

Compensation Overview
