Job Summary

The Outpatient Clinic Coordinator is a key member of the Hebrew SeniorLife team, responsible for providing administrative support to our geriatric primary care practices. This role requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and clinicians
  • Manage patient schedules, appointments, and demographics
  • Verify insurance and collect co-pays and/or patient balances
  • Answer phones and respond to incoming calls
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts using electronic medical records
  • Process billing encounter forms and troubleshoot any billing denials
  • Order clinical and non-clinical supplies for the practice

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of medical office experience required
  • Previous geriatric experience preferred
  • Computer literacy required; experience with Windows is required
  • Practice Management Systems experience is desirable
