In this position, you will handle various administrative support tasks while warmly welcoming our guests and vendors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Professionally greet all visitors and ensure they are directed to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collect entrance fees from all museum guests.
  • Assist with various museum events as required.
  • Monitor inventory, restock, organize, and maintain gift shop displays.
  • Draft memos, correspondence, reports, and other necessary documents.
  • Continuously seek to enhance processes; provide suggestions for productivity improvements and optimize team workflows while meeting customer needs.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, with occasional standing and walking.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Rarely required to work above shoulder level.
  • Frequent pinching, grasping, and fine manipulation with fingers to operate equipment and computers.
  • Must be able to see, hear, and communicate effectively.
  • Indoor work environment with heating and air conditioning.

Qualifications:

  • Availability to work Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; must be at least 18 years old.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • An interest in history, particularly automotive history, is advantageous.
