Procurement Business Partner for R&D Digital Services

The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Business Partner to lead category management, sourcing, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement for Moderna's external spend across R&D Digital. This role will be responsible for delivering the optimum balance of value delivery (cost, performance, quality, risk) from Moderna's supply base in R&D digital technologies and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category plans and strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
  • Lead and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
  • Manage and develop strong relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, internal customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate and monitor the risk profile of the supply base and implement risk improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of sourcing initiatives to deliver cost reductions against challenging current and multi-year saving targets.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of progressive category management experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in an R&D setting.
  • Bachelor's degree required. BA/BS in a technical discipline desired.
  • Proficient-level skills in communications, project management, relationship management, influencing, negotiation, financial acumen, analytical, presentation, aptitude for technology, results-focus, professionalism, and success in a matrixed environment.
  • Category experience with R&D digital technologies and services strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record of savings delivery and ability to manage complexity and change.
  • Ability to work in a highly metric-driven environment and deliver against challenging performance targets.
