Position Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in driving profitable sales for our mixing and blending product offerings. Your primary focus will be on expanding our market presence in the U.S., contributing significantly to the success and growth of our organization.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, allowing for flexibility in work location.


Key Responsibilities
Local Commercial Leadership:
- Formulate and implement local sales and marketing strategies for the Mixing and Blending portfolio, aligned with global objectives.
- Identify new applications and market segments to foster growth in Mixing & Blending.
- Collaborate with the outside sales team and inside technical team, leveraging sales and application expertise.
- Oversee project management and collaborate with sales leadership to devise strategies for project closure.
- Act as the U.S. liaison to the Global Mixing & Blending Portfolio Manager.
- Serve as the local launch manager for the Mixing & Blending portfolio.

Product Management:
- Provide guidance to the local product manager on regulatory matters affecting the product line.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, including competitor strengths, new product developments, and technological advancements.
- Conduct competitive analysis and engage with industry groups to gauge customer needs and preferences, estimating sales potential and evaluating competitive positioning.
Training and Development:
- Deliver product training to our channel partners and customer base.
- Assess the technical capabilities of the sales team and provide necessary training support.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven sales and marketing experience with both commodity and engineered products in the industrial sector.
- Familiarity with various distribution channels, including direct sales, national accounts, and distributors.
- A demonstrated ability to plan effectively and take initiative, with a commitment to monitoring and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and commercial acumen.
- Proficiency in Excel or similar database management tools for data analysis to optimize sales.
- A collaborative team player with demonstrated leadership and motivational skills, capable of influencing others without direct authority.
- Creativity and resourcefulness are essential traits.
- Proven track record in developing and executing innovative marketing and sales initiatives.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50%-60% of the time.

At Alfa Laval, we carefully evaluate a range of factors to determine your total compensation package, considering market indicators as well as your specific role, background, skills, and experience. The typical base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $130,000.
