Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Electrophysiology at Piedmont Heart Institute

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is seeking a dedicated full-time Cardiac Electrophysiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our Advanced Practice Provider Electrophysiology Clinics. This role primarily serves the North corridor, with a focus on providing specialized outpatient care.

Position Overview

This is a full-time outpatient role, operating Monday through Friday, with no hospital coverage required. As part of one of the nation's leading cardiovascular healthcare systems, you will collaborate with a team of esteemed Electrophysiologists in a supportive and autonomous environment where your expertise is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electrophysiology APP, you will:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and manage care under indirect physician supervision, adhering to federal and state regulations while practicing evidence-based medicine.
  • Travel to various clinic sites, predominantly serving patients in designated locations.
  • Provide autonomous patient care in outpatient clinics, coordinating closely with assigned electrophysiologists.
  • Order and schedule necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as part of direct patient care services.
  • Engage in clinical trials and participate in relevant training opportunities.
  • Assist in the training and development of fellow APPs and nursing staff.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork with all healthcare team members, ensuring a collaborative approach to patient care.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current licensure from the Georgia State Composite Board.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of general cardiology experience or 1 year of prior electrophysiology experience.
