Position Overview
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Electrophysiology, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians during a variety of advanced cardiac procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting electrophysiology (EP) procedures, including pacemaker and ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and other essential interventions.
  • Operating electrophysiology recorders and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
  • Providing comprehensive patient care to adult and geriatric populations.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a valid RN license in Georgia, with no limitations.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of full-time RN experience post-orientation or residency, including at least one year in cardiovascular ICU, Critical Care, ER, Cath Lab, or EP Lab.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience with general vascular and/or coronary angiography.
  • Strong understanding of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Experience in electrophysiology or interventional cardiac catheterization lab.
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification.
  • International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certification or prior electrophysiology experience.
  • Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS Allied Health).
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
  • At least two (2) years of recent experience in an electrophysiology lab or interventional Cath Lab, with successful completion of comprehensive orientation training.
