Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Electrophysiology at Piedmont Heart Institute

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is seeking a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing in Cardiac Electrophysiology to enhance our team. This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient and select outpatient care for patients experiencing cardiac arrhythmias across our facilities.

This position is structured for our Southside locations, where you will work four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with no night shifts required. This opportunity allows you to be part of a leading cardiovascular healthcare system, collaborating with esteemed Electrophysiologists in a supportive and autonomous environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electrophysiology APP, you will:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and manage care in accordance with established guidelines and best practices.
  • Provide autonomous patient care on inpatient consult services, including rounding, admissions, consultations, and discharges with minimal supervision.
  • Oversee outpatient clinic responsibilities and follow-up care with indirect supervision as necessary.
  • Engage in effective communication with the collaborative PHI team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Order and schedule necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients.
  • Participate in the training and mentorship of fellow APPs, students, and nursing staff.
  • Exhibit professionalism and respect towards all members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must:
  • Be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Hold board certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • Possess a current license from the Georgia State Composite Board.
  • Be BLS and ACLS certified.
  • Ideally, have 1-2 years of experience in managing patients within Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology.
