Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Electrophysiology at Piedmont Heart Institute

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is seeking a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider specializing in Cardiac Electrophysiology to enhance our APP-driven team. This role involves delivering both inpatient and select outpatient services at various facilities for patients experiencing cardiac arrhythmias. The position entails working four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with no night shifts required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and management under physician oversight, adhering to federal and state regulations while practicing evidence-based medicine.

• Provide care at both designated facilities, managing direct patient care autonomously, including rounding, admissions, consultations, and discharges with limited supervision from Electrophysiologists.

• Deliver care in outpatient clinics, ensuring follow-up with indirect supervision as necessary.

• Facilitate daily communication with the collaborative PHI team.

• Order and schedule necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as part of patient care.

• Participate in the training and mentorship of fellow APPs, students, and nursing staff.

• Foster effective communication and teamwork with all healthcare team members, demonstrating respect and appreciation for colleagues.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program

• Board Certified as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

• Current licensure from the appropriate state board

• BLS and ACLS certification

• Preferred candidates will have 1-2 years of experience in managing Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology patients.
